June has been a busy month—not just with product improvements, but also connecting with so many of you at Realize LIVE, where the energy around Polarion and Nextedy was incredible. It was great to see so many happy customers, share what we’re working on, and hear what’s coming next on your end. That’s also why this update is landing a bit later than usual.
We’ve continued making steady progress across the board, laying the groundwork for several powerful new capabilities you’ll start seeing over the next few months. In the meantime, June brings a set of focused enhancements and fixes—small in appearance, but impactful in everyday use.
Let’s dive into the updates! 🚀
Nextedy GANTT
Gantt 25.6.0 – Smarter Task Management and Better Validation
The latest Gantt release brings a mix of important usability improvements and guardrails to help teams manage work more reliably—especially when working with team assignments or large resource-driven plans.
✅ Smarter Auto-Assignment
Creating Work Items from Gantt now respects Polarion’s auto-assignment rules. If auto-assignment is configured in your project, Gantt automatically picks the right assignee—saving time and improving accuracy.
🔄 Live Data Updates
Changes made in the Gantt dialog now immediately reflect in the table and resource view, even before saving. This helps users verify estimates, assignments, or effort values in real time.
🛑 Protecting Your Work
Accidentally navigating away from a Gantt with unsaved changes? You’ll now get a discard changes prompt—just like in Risksheet—helping prevent data loss and frustration.
👥 Enforced Validation for Team Assignments
To avoid creating broken or incomplete assignments, Gantt now enforces required fields (assignee and load) when the item type is configured as a team assignment. Auto-assignment is also disabled in this case to ensure clarity.
🪲 Bugfixes That Matter
Fixes to regressions related to the Assignee field in team assignments
Duration field now supports fractional values, allowing more realistic planning
Smooth unfreezing after resizing resource tables
This release strengthens how Gantt integrates with Polarion’s workflow, improving both day-to-day efficiency and long-term data integrity.
Nextedy RISKSHEET
Risksheet 25.6.0 – Smoother Configuration, Smarter Permissions, and Better Reliability
This release brings meaningful usability improvements to the Risksheet configuration experience — helping admins work more efficiently and giving users a safer, more reliable experience.
🪄 Faster Setup with Default Configuration Support
If a Risksheet or its template has no configuration, the editor now loads a default setup automatically—with clear messaging. This allows admins to get started right away without manual copying, speeding up initial onboarding and template creation.
🚫 Better Access Control
Only users with admin privileges can open and modify the Risksheet configuration editor. This prevents confusion and enforces proper access control—ensuring users don’t unintentionally think their changes were saved when they weren’t.
🔄 Cleaner Save & Exit Flow
The editor now correctly detects if actual changes were made. You’ll no longer be warned about unsaved changes when simply opening and closing the editor without editing, making navigation smoother and less disruptive.
💡 More Robust Configuration Handling
Even if a referenced Velocity template is missing, the editor no longer gets stuck in a loading loop. Instead, it gracefully informs the user and loads a clean fallback, ensuring the editing flow remains uninterrupted.
These updates make the configuration experience faster, clearer, and more foolproof, helping teams avoid errors and save time.
Summer Outlook
We’ll be staying busy over the summer—finalizing and releasing many of the improvements we’ve been shaping behind the scenes. At the same time, we also want to take a moment to recharge, spend time with our families, and return with fresh energy for the months ahead.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for all the ideas, feedback, and encouragement you share with us.
