A quiet summer, a big September
August was quieter than usual as much of our team recharged with family holidays. But we didn’t stop entirely — we kept things steady in maintenance mode, rolling out small but important fixes.
Then came September — and with it, one of our biggest milestones this year: the launch of Nextedy POWERSHEET, our brand-new product designed to bring spreadsheet-like usability to Polarion. We also had the chance to meet many of you in Milan at Polarion4U 2025, and to share a brand-new customer success story with Arnold NextG.
Let’s dive into the highlights.
🚀 POWERSHEET Launch – Bridging Excel and Polarion
September marked the official launch of Nextedy POWERSHEET — a new way to work with Polarion data that feels as natural as Excel, but fully integrated into your project traceability.
Powersheet provides an interactive, Excel-like view where you can edit, link, and navigate requirements and traceability in one place. Whether you’re working on RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix) or any other structured view, Powersheet helps reduce friction, boost adoption, and make Polarion more accessible for all team members.

🔧 Product Updates Beyond Powersheet
While Powersheet took the spotlight, our other flagship tools also received steady updates to keep your daily work smoother and more reliable.
📊 Planningboard 25.9.0 – Smarter Swimlanes & Better Error Handling
Sorting swimlanes for predictable row ordering
Swimlanes of type Parent Item now support a “Sort By” configuration. Define one or more fields (with asc/desc control) to keep rows consistently ordered by priority, ID, or custom fields. This makes program boards more predictable and easier to read at scale.
Improved script error reporting
Planningboard now reports errors just like Gantt and Risksheet. If a customization script fails, admins see a warning icon with detailed tooltips in edit mode (line number, root cause). Debugging is faster and safer, while end-users get a clean fallback view.
⚠️ Risksheet Hotfixes
- 25.8.0 – Fixed module cache not refreshing when documents changed outside of Risksheet.
- 25.8.1 – Fixed discard changes pop-up incorrectly appearing with refreshOnSave:false.
25.9.0 – Improved value inheritance in grouped rows when creating new items.
📅 Gantt Fixes
- 25.8.0 – Fixed milestone markers missing when syncing to contexts with 100+ Plans. Gantt now fetches the newest Plans first.
25.9.0 – Fixed load failures when workflow-required actions were missing.
