I’m presenting at Realize LIVE Americas 2026 in Detroit. If you’re here for the session, found this through LinkedIn, or are just curious what the talk is about — read on.
My Session at Realize LIVE
Why Aerospace Safety Programs Break — And How to Fix Them Inside Polarion
Tuesday, June 2 · 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM · Room 414 A/B
A live demo session built on a real Polarion project. The core argument: risk is the integrator, not a side-car. 60–80% of aerospace safety requirements originate from risk controls. If your toolchain doesn’t model that explicitly, you’re building toward an audit problem — not away from one.
The session walks through it artifact by artifact — FHA, SFMEA, DFMEA, CCA, MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C compliance matrices and SOI Stage Gate Dashboard — all in a single Polarion database, no sync jobs, no middleware.
Five things I want people to take away:
- Risk is the integrator — not a downstream attachment
- 60–80% of requirements originate from risk controls — model that explicitly
- Compliance dashboards are a query, not a deliverable
- Honest gaps beat polished demos — FTA stays in dedicated FTA tools
- The aerospace template is real, shipped content, available today
The Demo Dataset
Everything runs on the FCC Aerospace Reference Dataset — a pre-built Polarion project with one DAL A system, three subsystems, and eight components. It ships with the trial so you walk into a functioning safety program on day one.
Standards covered: ARP4761 · ARP4754A · DO-178C · DO-254 · DO-326A · MIL-STD-882E
There's More Than Just Aerospace
The session is about aerospace safety, but at Nextedy we cover a broader territory inside Polarion:
- Risk management — structured, scalable FMEA, HARA, TARA and hazard analysis across domains
- Safety & cybersecurity — solutions for aerospace, automotive, and medical device programs
- Project planning — capacity-based planning, Gantt, and program management directly in Polarion
- Requirements traceability — full V-model traceability editing in a single sheet view, RTM, and live compliance matrices
- AI — RISKSHEET Copilot and where we’re headed with embedded AI in safety workflows
If you’re curious about any of these — or just want to understand what’s realistic in Polarion today — I’m happy to talk.

Want to have a conversation?
I’m always up for a direct conversation — whether it’s about your current Polarion setup, a specific domain challenge, what we’re doing in AI, or just figuring out if what we do is relevant for your team.
